Title I Reading

The Portage Area Elementary offers Title I Reading Services to students in first through third grade. Students are selected for the program based off of multiple criteria including: assessment results and teacher recommendation.  The Title I Reading Team utilizes Leveled Literacy Intervention, Wilson FUNdations, and Wilson Reading system to provide reading instruction that is on level and builds the necessary reading skills required to read fluently and comprehend deeply.
